Wednesday

Drainage work continues today, fixing a perennial spot on the 6th hole.  This hillside is solid rock; just 10" below the surface.  When we get into extreme wet periods, water seeps from the bedrock and is extremely difficult to contain.  I'm very happy to see the golf course really drying out.  Holes #6 and #9 continue to firm up by the day.  It appears we'll be able to mow them tomorrow.

In the next 2 days, you will see a declining white pine on the 6th hole removed.  This tree continues to lean towards the restroom, creating a safety hazard.  You can see the tree on the left side of this photo with a yellow ribbon around it.
