You'll notice these Mouget brand tree injectors in a few specimen Hemlocks on the golf course. In addition to soil injections of Merit, Safari and Zylam insecticides, I am doing trunk injections this year to several Hemlocks. These capsules contain the insecticide, Imidiclorpid, aka Merit- a product by Bayer. These treatments are necessary to protect the tree against the insect, the woolly adelgid.
