Despite the Fall Finale being held today, we managed to get some small projects done on the golf course. We simply couldn't stay off the course with the amount of work out there that needs to be done. The weather today couldn't have been more perfect- the wind was a pleasant added surprise! On #15, the guys created a surface drain to get the water off the cart path that was dammed up. If we get more days like today, we will be caught up in a week. This evening, we are mowing fairways and some more roughs...it feels good to finally be back in the game after 26" of rain in the last 2 weeks. To date, we've had 66" of rain in Highlands...keep in mind, we are only 5 months into the year. We could be looking at a new record. In my time at HCC, 2005 was the wettest year when we received 120". The Highlands average is about 90" of rain per year.
