In addition to the major golf course clean up effort taking place this morning, we are applying a wetting agent to tees and other areas that dry out quickly. It's hard to think about the ground drying out with as much rain as we've had. However, this granular product needs irrigated into the soil where it coats soil particles- allowing the soil to drain faster as well as re-wet easier when it does begin to dry out. Our focus are the areas that we consider "indicator spots" that tell us when we need to start focusing on irrigation. For example, #3 ladies tee is the first tee on the entire golf course to dry out. By applying this product on areas like #3, we can better manage water during dry times and wet periods.
There is a lot of water moving across the golf course as you can see on #2. We have our work cut out for us!
