For the past several years, it's become a tradition for Dr. Bruce Martin, Professor of Plant Pathology at Clemson University, to bring a number of his students to Highlands CC for a few hours. This exposes these students to a unique climate with our own unique challenges in terms of pest problems (diseases, insects, weeds etc.). This is always an afternoon I look forward to and hope to continue it into the future. Clemson University is just over 1hr away, making for a unique relationship. In addition to this visit, we participate in numerous field trials with Clemson researchers as well as those from NC State University.
