Last year, at the request of a member, we started posting stimpmeter readings to communicate the daily green speed to our members and guests. This was well received by many. Therefore, I recently had more professional looking signs made that are located on hole #1- both at the Men's and Ladies tees. We will pick this practice back up in a few weeks. Right now, our primary focus is grow in (post aerification) and plant health. Once we have dense turf and consistent temperatures, we will focus on playability and faster speeds. The greens are currently very slow as we develop a deeper root system and denser canopy. Within a few weeks, we will be well on our way to the putting surfaces you appreciate and expect. In the meantime, thank you for your patience as we recover from greens aerification and deal with an unpredictable Mother Nature!
