If you come to Highlands there are a couple of odds and ends you might wonder about. Above the 17th green, the bank is in disrepair where the contractor ran an electric line from the town pole to the new home site along the 17th fairway.
Below, there are strange arrows that seem randomly placed within 300 feet of the Dillard Road corridor. The NC DOT is working on a aerial map (these arrows serve as reference points) that will serve as a base for an improvement project that is in the works but not finalized. The plan is to add sidewalks from town-down past the club in addition to a potential bicycle path. Implementation of the plan however, is still 7-10 years away. As I learn more through the town, I will keep you posted.
