Today, Dennis Hurley and Mike Smith with Turf Drainage of America, a drainage company based out of Louisiana, are in town helping me with a drainage improvement plan on 3 holes. Specifically, #7, 12 and 15. The priority is fixing a couple areas on the 12th hole that will ultimately improve turf quality. In 2009, Dennis did a plan that improved the drainage tremendously on holes #1, 6, 9 and 14. When Dennis visits Highlands CC, he is notorious for selecting the coldest day of the year.
