It appears that Highlands will be impacted by this system. While the severity remains questionable, some forecasts are calling for 6-10" of rain and wind in the 30-70mph range. With all trees still holding leaves, this makes for an even more difficult scenario due to the added weight that presents.
We are preparing for the worst on the golf course and hoping for the best. Today, we are going through all chainsaws, confirming fuel inventory levels and making sure key equipment like blowers and our chipper are in good working order. On Monday, we will pull key catch basin lids so water and debris can escape low lying areas without obstruction. Our thoughts remain with those in Florida! Be safe!
