This one of our biggest events of the year and we put in additional work to make the course the best it can be. This means working some long hours. The staff starts at 4:45am each morning and we work until 7:30-8:00pm each evening of the event. This event format lends itself well to maintenance scheduling. Some maintenance, like mowing Fairways, is done in the evening because there isn't enough time in the morning to get all 18 holes mowed. We also are mowing greens a 3rd time each evening. In the morning the puttting greens are double cut and rolled, we mow tees and approaches as well as the rough. Leading up to the event, we knock out numerous small details so the condition of the course peeks for this event. We had some great weather, despite the 1/2" of rain yesterday, during the past week. The staff has worked incredibly hard these past two weeks and I couldn't be more proud of their effort and ultimately the condition of the course. These guys are good!
