This afternoon, me and my helper Anna, pictured above, got the pumpkin patch seeded. Last year was not the bumper crop of pumpkins like the year prior. This was due to the extreme drought the region faced. This is the area to the right of the 13th hole. For years it served as the golf course dumping grounds. While much of the soil is very compacted and rocky, there are pockets of healthy organic soils that do well at growing crops. The goal is to create an area that you can bring grandkids in the fall to harvest jack-o-lanterns.
