Today I had a demo of the new Air2G2 machine that uses 12" long tines to inject air into the greens profile. The high pressured air fractures the soil to a depth of 12"-or other depth determined by a different tine length. This is pretty neat technology and something I need to consider in the future. At HCC, we do an excellent job of aerifying the top 3" of the profile but need to incorporate a deeper form of aeration to prevent the hard pan that forms at a 3" depth. Currently, we have no method of accomplishing that type of deep aeration.
