Monday

Its hard to believe we are turfgrass seed seeing germination in March.  It won't continue this week, however.  As the turf continues to grow, the concrete pavers will disappear for the most part.  This project was done as an experiment to see if we can eliminate bare spots of turf caused by excess cart traffic.

Below, to my surprise, we received another load of sod today.  However, Chicago received a few inches of snow, shutting down the sod cutting operation for the next few days.  We lack about 1 load of sod to finish the sodding budget for 2017.  We sure lucked out on the weather this winter, being able to get quality sod during the month of March.  Quality sod that is dense and weed free isn't always easy to come by.  Plus, this Chicago based farm is often shut down until April due to weather.
