This is always one of the more rewarding jobs we do every year...applying approximately 300 tons of sand to fairways. Over time, this program has been a tremendous investment in drier and firmer conditions. Topdressing is one of those programs that has a cumulative benefit over time. Specifically, after 10 years of applying sand to the fairways, the benefits become very apparent. However, one application isn't going to make a noticeable difference to golfers. Therefore, a commitment like we made at HCC, is critical.
