The tree crew and HCC crew is focusing this week on the 3rd hole. The trees in the grove to the right of the hole is being cleaned up even further by eliminating the dead limbs and lower limbs on these trees. We've been growing fine fescues on this bank and they are establishing nicely, although slowly. Obviously, last summer wasn't a good year for any kind of plant establishment due to the drought.
We are also focused on the right side of the tees, where we exposed more of the stream and eliminated overgrowth and a lot of weed/briar growth. We will enhance this creek as well when we finish phase one. This entire area will look much cleaner and more grand.
Above, old hemlock logs will be removed. These trees were cut many years ago and because the debris was out of sight, the logs were left.
Above: the stream exposed has some awesome potential to be really attractive.
Below, this gives you an idea how much brush was removed from the area.
