By Tuesday, it looks like we will be experiencing some nice fall weather. Hopefully Monday will give us some rain- whatever we can get! While it isn't the turf I worry about so much, its the trees and other landscape areas that are in major need of water. By this time of year, we should have received about 77" of rain, based on historic averages. This year, we have received 36" do date, meaning we have a 41" deficit. If we receive the average monthly rainfall totals for the next 3 months, we will have received 58" of rain in 2016. This is very low for Highlands, but not a record. 51" is the record according to the Highlands Biological Station.
