Tenacity applications

Starting Friday, we will be making our annual applications of tenacity herbicide, which is designed to remove bentgrass growing in Kentucky bluegrass, our desired turf in roughs. After about 5 days, the bentgrass is turned white, creating an odd sight.  Three applications are made, each 14 days apart. We are focused on the rough that has been recently replaced, like #6, two years ago.  Existing rough that has severe contamination is not a candidate for this because it would be very severe.  This chemistry has very good potential but in the past years of using it, it doesn't effect all bentgrasses. Some species aren't impacted as much as others. My estimate is about 70% control.
