Yellowjacket Nests

Beware of yellow jackets this coming late summer and fall.  Populations tend to be worse during periods of hot and dry weather. Be especially careful on south facing slopes. In fact, if your golf ball lasts in any of our native areas, consider dropping a ball rather than risk getting stung. If you know you are allergic, carry your epi-pen. If you let us know the location of a nest, we will immediately spray the threat. Consider the following safety precautions from Clemson University:
