The area above is located between the new back tee on #15 and Hummingbird Lane.  It's become a project of mine in which I've seeded, aerated, fertilized and sprayed with herbicides and fungicides.  Ultimately, it will visually improve but is not Club property.  The tee surround itself was sodded to offer better definition.  I am specifically looking to improve the intermediate rough cut or caddywalk and a couple feet on either side.  The dominant weed species is wild violet.  Today marked the 5th herbicide application on 7 day intervals!  Needless to say, that weed laughed at me and my jug of herbicide for the first 3 weeks but now the tables have turned and I'm on top!  Wild violet is known as the hardest broadleaf weed to control.  Clover and dandelions can be killed after one application.  This will take 6!

The water lilies are thriving on #2 due to a warm summer and a better aquatic weed control program using less chemicals.  Last year, you may recall I was certified and licensed as a NC aquatics applicator so I could take over the treatment of our water bodies.  This has paid off this year during this drought when I could only do a little at a time due to irrigation water restrictions.
