Thursday

More landscape planning was planted on the end of Court #4 to screen the road.

Above, bunkers are being irrigated and packed today as part of the ongoing maintenance to increase the playability.  Given the fact we have to irrigate them by hand, with a hose, this isn't something that we can do as often as I'd like because its so labor intensive.  With many new irrigation systems, mister heads throw into the bunker.  Fortunately, extremely dry weather like we've been experiencing is rare.  Below, I believe we finally discovered the leak on the pond on #6!  For the last several years, this pond held about 6" less water than it should and that detracted from its beauty.  The water was leaking along a tree root, going back behind the wall.  We filled the void with 5 bags of cement.  Time will tell if we were successful.  We will know tomorrow!
