Above, a new aeration system was installed in Swan Lake this week. There are 8 diffuser stations spaced around the lake. This will really help the water quality and the fish population.
Below, with the same excitement as the golden spike hammered in to complete the Trans-continental railway in 1869, Jerry Dalton put the final timberlock in the Swan Lake bridge! What a great day it was! People came from all over to see it! Actually, people didn't come but it sounds neat. President Shurling and HCC First Lady Shurling came to Highlands via horse and buggy to watch...that is a true story but I don't think it was necessarily the bridge that brought them. They also came in a Lexus, not a horse and buggy.
We received over 4" of rain last night and today...drainage is working overtime. The weather will clear, it appears, but temperatures are going to drop.
