Clemson Herbicide Trial

Below is a note I received regarding a herbicide trial on the 6th hole we did with Clemson University.  It is rewarding being part of trials that will benefit golf course across the country.

Brian,

Just wanted to touch base with you in regards to the herbicide trial we had on your course this summer.  I want to thank you for your hospitality in allowing us to use your course.  The trial is complete, as you may know.  Our findings were relatively undesirable control of mature poa for the new experimental compound.  However, Valent was happy with the turf safety of the compound on Kentucky bluegrass.  Other trials showed promise with preemerge activity for crabgrass and success with fall applications on poa control.  Valent will continue to explore these options as they continue to research their compound.

If future research on Kentucky bluegrass arises, we would be interested in contacting you in the future.  Thanks again for your time and assistants.
