Fall projects

I am asked periodically why we start working on projects early and impact the few golfers that play this time of year.  Why can't we wait till the course closes?  There are several reasons:

1. We defer a huge amount of work to winter that most clubs will do in September.  For example, aerification.  We feel it's better to impact November golf than September golf based on the volume of play.

2. We take on, using in our own talent and labor, an aggressive amount of work that most clubs would contract to professionals.  In order to get it all completed by the following April, we have to start early.

3.  After the 1st week in December, we lose 50% of the staff.  This is done as a budget saving measure.  To be honest, I could use 22 staff members year round with the amount of work we have to do!

Hopefully this answers you questions!  I am always happy to sit down and discuss further if you have specific questions.  We do try to do the minimally invasive projects early in November, pushing the most invasive to later in the month.
