What a storm! 3/4" of rain...much needed rain! We will have some fairly minor cleanup tomorrow on the golf course. With as dry as it's been, expect to see some serious greening as a result of that good atmospheric nitrogen. The golf course will be good tomorrow and as long as we don't get anymore rain this evening; expect to be able to drive on fairways this weekend. This will also benefit the pond by forcing my aquatic herbicides down and flushing some of the pond. The lack of rain this year has also didn't help the pond from that perspective. Not only could we not treat with stronger products, but it never turned over, flushing itself out.
The storm took out power all around town. We sure do take traffic lights for granted when they work! With the power out in town, the intersections were a nightmare with no one even there to direct traffic.
