This off season, I am adding another beneficial aeration process to 2 acres worth of landing areas in fairways. Our primary focus will be 6 and 12. This machine drills 8" deep holes and then back fills those holes with sand. Then end result are nice columns of sand (on 5" centers) in the native soil that will promote better drainage. It penetrates the ground much deeper than a traditional 3" tine. Any investment we make in topdressing sand and drainage always pays dividends during the season in wet years. In a temperate rain forest, we just can't do enough of these types of things.
