Boxwood blight

While I have posted multiple articles and information sheets regarding this blight, I have spent a good bit of time observing boxwoods in different parts of Highlands the past two days. One such location experienced a fair amount of death in the past. I have yet to see anything that resembles this disease. Boxwoods are susceptible to many other pests like leaf miners, winter kill, root rot etc.  There are several confirmed cases in Cashiers, however.  We need to stay observant, particularly next spring and act quickly if seen. We are reaching the point of the year where fungal growth is beginning to slow due to cooler temperatures. Next May and June will be more indicative of what kind of treatment schedule will be required, if any.
