This weeks forecast is finally calling for some decent rain chances through the week. With a 70% chance today increasing to 80% tomorrow, we will finally have hopes of getting some of the rain we need on the course. The rain chance will continue through Thursday dropping back to only a 30-40% chance through the weekend. Temperatures will remain in the mid 70's throughout the day while dropping into the 60's overnight.
On the golf course this week we will be spraying our soils application on Tuesday. Since this application needs to be watered in, hopefully we can use the rain to our advantage. Along with spraying we will be applying a granular calcium product to be watered in as well. Applying both of these before rain can help avoid having to run the irrigation overnight. Not only does that save water, but rain is also much more efficient in watering in material equally. Along with that on Thursday when the rain clears out we will be spraying fairways with a fungicide and fertilizer combination.
