Weather update...

What was initially a 100% chance of rain yesterday resulted in nothing more than .005" of rain...basically nothing.  We had gone out in the morning and sprayed more wetting agent to try to re-wet the ground and came up empty.  Therefore, I was forced to irrigate the course last night.  Our next chance of rain isn't till Monday/ Tuesday of next week...a 50% chance of thunderstorms each day.  As you know, we are to the point we are really in need of rain for the perimeters of the golf course.  Nothing greens up turf as nicely as rainfall which contains atmospheric nitrogen.  Hand watering certainly helps but it is like doing CPR until the ambulance arrives!  The ambulance being rain!!  The staff is working hard, many haven't had a day off in over a month.  All we can do is take it one day at a time!  We know ultimately we will prevail as always!
