Tuesday

NC State Researchers are back on our campus this morning applying new treatments and recording data on their Pythium Root Rot trials.

Chad Stockton is hard at it making our 21 day interval fungicide application.  This includes fertilzers and a growth regulator as well.  Tees are also being sprayed today as well.

Finally, you can see today's Pelzmeter reading.  This is similar to a stimpmeter reading but accounts for othe physical factors as well.  Specifically, a ball rolling uphill loses speed faster than a ball gains speed rolling downhill.  It isn't a true average as the stimpmeter has you believe.  Regardless, after a single cut and roll this morning the greens are rolling 12 1/2 feet.  That is getting a little too fast for the enjoyment of most members.
