Another nice then and now photo comparison.

If you head to the range today, you will notice the front of the range tee has been aerified.  The tee was seeded very heavily and the plugs are being allowed to sit.  The tee has been a major source of disappointment for me in recent weeks.  We had such great recovery of divots using pregerminated seed.  Once the rain started and we were being inundated with excess moisture, the seedlings simply died.  What was left were big voids and divot patterns.  Aerification helps create a nice seed bed for turf to grow.  My next experiment if to keep mowers off of this area while seed comes up.  Please know I am doing the best I can with what I have to work with.  Ultimately, the range tee itself needs to be rebuilt and leveled to get the water off of it.  It simply holds entirely too much water.  The last several years, I've been very aggressive with topdressing and different forms of aerification.  However, while it gets slightly better, I am not seeing any major improvement.  We are to the point of rebuilding, I am afraid.
