Thursday

NC State researchers are back on site this morning making there next pythium root rot fungicide applications on their PG test plot.  The device above uses a laser to measure turfgrass color, density and ultimately overall quality of each plot.  This is how they are able to compare the effectiveness of the plots and monitor plant health over the length of the experiment.

In other news, today marks Match 1 of the Men's Member Guest Tournament.  That means we are working 14-15 hour days to ensure the course is in top shape.  Due to the format of the event, we are forced to start work at 4:30am.  I understand this can be frustrating for homeowners with golf course frontage.  We ask for your patience and understanding!
