After receiving a total of 2" of rain throughout last week, things are finally starting to dry out on the course. We had just under a 1/10th of an inch last night, and the forecast seems to look a lot like the past week. This time of year you can be very fortunate and dodge many of the afternoon showers, or the opposite. Based on the forecast this week we will be in for more warm temperatures and afternoon showers all through the week.
On the golf course this week we will be spraying tees, and fairways Tuesday morning. Both of these applications are done in a preventative measure. This allows us to keep a more accurate schedule and use lower rates as well. Also this week is Kids Camp here at the club. This means the maintenance staff will be doing our annual hay rides for the campers on Thursday.
