Penncross Creeping Bentgrass

I recently found a 1978 advertisement for Penncross creeping bentgrass, endorsed by Byron Nelson. Of course, Penn State developed Penncross back in the 1950's and was the standard on greens around the world for a long time.  Penn State is the oldest, largest and most prestigious agronomy school in the country and has given more to the world of golf turfgrass management than any other school.  The A and G series of bentgrasses (we have Penn A4 on HCC greens) are off types and segregations of penncross that were developed in the early 1990's at Penn State.
