NC State University Pythium Trials

We are working with NC State University on Pythium Root Rot fungicide trials.  2 technicians from the university were on site this afternoon applying 12 different fungicides.  They will return every 3 weeks to make an additional application.  Pythium Root Rot is a common fungal disease on bentgrass/poa greens in our climate simply due to the large amounts of rainfall we receive.  At HCC, we make preventative fungicide applications on 14 day intervals.  Jim Kerns, Ph.D is the professor in charge of the project.
