Friday

After a 41* start this morning things seemed to warm up quite quickly this afternoon with a high of around 70*.  Pictured below you can see Mountain Lake and Pond Management treating Swan lake.  This is an extremely important process in order to keep algae or any other noxious weeds at bay in the lakes, and streams on the property. Too much algae growth can also reduce oxygen levels for aquatic animals and is very unsightly.

Pictured below you can see our clematis and honeysuckle vines are beginning to grow.  Through out the summer we train the vines to grow along the locust fences on the property.  This is done by simply taking the new upright growth and tying it to the fence laterally.
