You may have noticed the dead English ivy on the walls of the tunnel. I am reluctant to cut this back for two reasons:
1. I would hate to expose the concrete wall.
2. New buds are breaking on the stems behind the dead foliage.
We are also going to plant some new ivy plants on top of the wall. Once again, it was a rough winter on a variety of plants. We spent a considerable amount of time and money replacing numerous shrubs and trees around the property.
