There are some things in the plant world that are difficult to explain. An example is this dwarf Alberta spruce growing in front of the admin building. As you can see, a much coarser branch of what appears to be a Norway spruce or similar species is growing off of this tree. My only guess would be that the Alberta spruce is a cross between 2 other species of trees. In this particular branch, the genetic makeup could have segregated back to the parent material. Once again, only a guess but I will be looking into it!
