2" of rain in 45 minutes

The official rain total for yesterday was 2" in a period of about 45 minutes or less!  The golf course is very wet and we have a large clean up effort currently taking place.  Heavy rain events like that are good to see exactly where the low areas are and a good time to plan for future drainage enhancements.  In fact, Chad Stockton is busy installing 2 new catch basins at the croquet court pavilion.  As I said before, when we get 2" of rain in 40 minutes, no amount of drainage, whether it be internal or surface, can support that much water.  What we hope to do is move it away from the surface once the downpour stops.

It will remain cart path only on the course today and the driving range will be mats only.  Please obey both of these rules to keep the range and course in the best shape for all of our members.
