With snowy weather today, much of our plans have changed temporarily. Today we are planting trees to screen the parking lots below the security building. Working with Mary Palmer Dargan, we developed a plan to break up the sea of asphalt from the 18th hole. By using trees like Red Maples, Oaks, Black Gums and Poplars, we are adding a variety of specimens to give good fall color. Numerous Kousa Dogwoods have been added as understory plantings that will give some flower color in early summer in addition to the red fruit in autumn.
