East Coast Sod

With the PG and #11 green on the list for renovation this fall, I am tracking down some new sod for the PG. On the 11th green, I will use the sod taken off the PG. This means the green will be ready for play come May. However, the size of the PG will expand. This means, I will need to buy 5,000-7,000 square feet on new sod for the PG. The quality of the sod will have a hand in dictating how quick I will have the entire green ready for play. After talking with several sod farms, it looks like the Penn A4 sod I will be buying will come from East Coast Turf in New Jersey. The web site is www.eastcoastsod.com if you are interested. I am familiar with their sod from my work at Augusta National. At ANGC, this farm grows Penn A1 for their green rebuilds.
