As you probably know, the alarm on #5 was not functioning. I know it sounds silly that a lightening alarm was hit by lightening. However, like anything else, it is also an electronic device mounted high on a rain shelter exposed to surges and lightening. We have since repaired the system, added heavier duty grounding cables and I will be adding surge protection to the electric line.
