Spring fertilization and Pre-emergent

We are fertilizing the golf course today with a 24-11-12 fertilizer analysis of Nitrogen-Phosphorpous- Potassium. This is based on soil test results. All components of this fertilizer are slow release and will last the entire season. The brand name of the fertilizer is Polyon. The company who makes this fertilizer is based out of Alabama and many of you may know their test facility, Farmlinks.

A total of 12 tons of fertilizer is required to cover all 70 acres of turf at HCC. This fertilizer contains a crabgrass pre-emergent known as Pendamethalin.
