Heavy winds today caused a tree to fall across the 16th tee.
Last week, we experienced some heavy rains. During that time, the grass behind the 16th green stayed very saturated, affecting mowers and equipment needing to access the green, in addition to golfers. Therefore, we removed the sod in this area and worked on some drainage improvements, both internal and on the surface. We think that after this work, this will correct water from standing in this area. A new catch basin was added behind the green and the area will be capped off with a couple inches of sand. We are still lacking approximately 8 pallets of sod that will finish the golf course projects. That sod is scheduled to arrive tomorrow afternoon.
