Paving Update: Due to rainy weather, that has been much needed in the area and cold weather this week, our paving project on #10 has been postponed until Monday, April 14th. Also on Monday, we'll be getting our last load of Kentucky Bluegrass sod that will finish off the golf course projects for the season. If you play this weekend, please pardon our progress and know that everything will be wrapped up the following week. Carts are able to use the gravel cart path for now, on the right of #10.
In today's local newspaper, there is an article about dredging Mirror Lake in Highlands. I thought this is an interesting comparison you'd enjoy. To fully dredge Mirror Lake, the total cost is $6,100,000. Engineers estimate the lake contains 115,000 cubic yards of sediment. Compare this to the portion of Club Lake behind the tennis courts and Life Enhancement Center that stops at the Hummingbird Lane bridge. This area is estimated to contain 4,000 cubic yards of sediment.
