Every morning, the croquet complex consumes several man hours of labor to get ready for the day. We not only just set the wickets, but on tournament days, we check the width of the wicket and make adjustments to them as needed. Using this modified Vice-Grips tool, we are able to pull the bars on the wicket closer just before hammering them into the ground. This reduces the clearance a croquet ball has to make it through a wicket.
