More from Wednesday…

Lots happening on holes #1 and #2.

One of the coolest things about the old bunker face on the bunker on #2 was the fact that most of it was comprised of moss, giving it an old look.  Therefore, we set that sod/moss to the side so we can reuse it on the new bunker face.

Above, that is an irrigation head you see running on #8 fairway!  The contractor continues to work their way around the golf course, flushing out irrigation lines and making sure the sprinkler heads are throwing in the correct direction.

Great contrast between new Kentucky Bluegrass sod and a Poa annua green!

Shaping is taking place on the greenside bunker on #1.

Teeter checked out the golf course progress with me today and you can see him standing in the front right greenside bunker on #2.  As you can see, the bunker was widened to prevent golf balls from getting hung up in the narrow portion of the bunker, closest to the green.  The 'Y' shape is the internal drainage pipe that is covered with gravel.

Above is the "fairway bunker" on the 2nd hole.
