Monday

As extra soil is generated from the bunker project, it is being hauled to the 13th hole, in front of the existing Ross and Jones tee.  This is going to be the location of the new middle tee.  Because the tee needs to be raised up, it's going to take a substantial amount of fill to bring the tee to the proper elevation.  This is where piggy backing these projects is really effective because we aren't having to pay to haul in clean fill.

This is a great time of year to start trimming hedges before the season starts.  A couple members of our team are working on the 7th hole this morning on this Hemlock hedge, to the right side of the hole.

A majority of this month is spent prepping areas for new sod.  Today, we are working to remove sod on the bridge on the 16th hole as well as all the rough on the second hole.  We are planning on receiving 2 more truck loads of sod this week.  The goal would be to have a majority of our sod projects completed by the beginning of March.

Above, Chad and I are stringing out the Jones Tee on #15 using masonry string.  This is an easy way to square the tee up to the fairway with sharp 90 degree angles.  Once string is on the ground, we can run the sod cutter along it, giving us precise, straight lines.

The front entrance to the club is also being resodded.  This area receives a lot of traffic from carts accessing the croquet lawns.
