Above, the golf course fertilization started today and should be wrapped up tomorrow afternoon. We are applying a 22-0-7 fertilizer comprised of Polyon, a polymer coated product that gives the fertilizer slow release characteristics. In fact, this fertilizer application will release slowly over the next 6 months! The fertilizer prill is also impregnated with Pendamethalin, a Crabgrass pre-emergent chemical. Now is the time of year that crabgrass pre-emergent products need to be applied in order to be affective in our climate.
We topdressed all of the new forward tees on the golf course today. The purpose is to fill in any seams and level the tees.
