I came across some oldies but goodies this past weekend.
Check out #16 green in the foreground, while looking down the #17th fairway!
The 2nd hole before the pond was constructed in front of the tees.
#18 tees, complete with a cul-de-sac for cart traffic. I'm guessing this was late 1960's or 1970's.
There's more engine than mower on this unit! Mowing around the Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course at St. Andrews around the turn of the century.
Above: Core aerification back in the 1800's. As Superintendents, we feel the process is labor intensive now, but that's nothing compared to what this generation faced!
