This piece of equipment is known as GPR or Ground Penetrating Radar. It scans the ground to a depth of up to 6 feet deep looking for pipes and other obstacles that might be in our way during this irrigation project. Fortunately, the Town of Highlands owns this equipment that costs more than $30,000. I was able to pull a few strings to use this to locate drain lines, sewer lines and other water lines that are located below Highlands CC. This will save us a lot of time and money in repairs and efficiency.
